Are there any real celebrities on MySpace? – Part 1

Sure, we’ve all floated into the phenomena that is MySpace.com.

By the word Real-do you mean celebrities that are so big, by mentioning their name, you immediately recognize them and are world known? Or “real” in the sense that they are down to earth and in touch with their audience? Real as in does the person behind the pictures and name match?

I know a few of all of these on MySpace.

Do they really have the time to cater to you there? Who knows? Does a personal assistant maybe answer you messages, based on understood knowledge of the celebrity…probably. If I had a personal assistant, they would probably be subjected to answering the tons of fan mail I have. Unfortunately, I have to do all that myself. I don’t mind, except the stuff from Visa. They don’t act like fans, nor do their lawyers.

Real celebs on MySpace include but are not limited to: Dane Cook-who has advertised that it is a big deal that he has so many friends. The truth is, most comics really don’t have many friends. Thus, we can reverse the initial question and ask, how many celebrities on Myspace.com have “real” friends? Ah, that is a bigger and more mysterious question. Really? How many of those 2 billion adds are “real” friends? Would they show up at a celebrity wedding wishing the lucky couple best wishes, or merely want photo ops and autographs? Come to think of it, how many of the friends on YOUR Myspace.com account could be considered “REAL”?

Jon Lovitz is on there…uhm…lots of comics actually.

Maybe the question should be…Are there REALLY any celebrities on MySpace? Or -Are the celebrities on MySpace real? Can celebrities be on MySpace and keep it real? Are two apples and a banana appropriate art class drawing examples for kids under the age of twelve?

MySpace, facebook, youtube. What was the question again? Wow, 2100 characters is a lot…am I there yet? No, ok, what other words of fodder can I possibly cram into such an article that really is a yes or no question and so easily answerable.

Are MySpace celebrities ever going to read this, especially all 2100 plus words? Will they drop off at the 2047 count that I checked earlier, and then had to add all this bologna. Why did I start this? I know better than to ask so many questions in an article that is a question.
