Worst celebrity weddings

I do not know why people are so fascinated with celebrity weddings. There is an overwhelming number that end up in divorce or annulment, especially if the wedding is between two celebrities. A short list of the worst would include any wedding involving Britney Spears or Pamela Anderson. I automatically assume that any wedding involving a celebrity will end in divorce within a few years. Of course there are a few exceptions, but those are far and few between. I could not care less about celebrity weddings. It’s total silliness for people to get excited about these.
I have read some People magazine letters to the editor and it is truly amazing. Some people are commenting as if they are best friends with the celebrity. They congratulate them, and encourage them as if the celebrity is going to read the letter. Some people believe that reading some articles and watching these celebrities on television or the movies somehow gives them a deep knowledge of the star. They pretend that they are friends. Just because you look at wedding pictures in a magazine, does not mean you are a guest of the temporarily happy couple. Even the celebs who are in what appear to be happy marriages now, most likely have had one or more that failed previously.
What is really sad is a marriage that has produced children and has lasted more than a decade, and then falls apart. It is so often due to the infidelity of the celebrity, too much success, or a faltering career. There is Harrison Ford, who was one of my favorite actors, who dumps his longtime wife to hook up with an anorexic Calista Flockhart. There is Brad Pitt who so obviously cheats on Jennifer Aniston with Angelina Jolie on the a movie set. Somehow they are given a pass in the media because of some humanitarian activities. Let’s face it, Jolie was the other woman and wrecked a marriage. Pitt was just another philandering movie star. My hat is off to Paul Newman, who has been married to Joanne Woodward for fifty years. He has claimed that he never cheated on her, saying, “why go out for a hamburger when you have a steak at home?” However, even this is not his first marriage.
I actually feel sorry for celebrities to a point. They are constantly scrutinized, watched, stalked, chased and have nothing like a normal life. They also get paid huge amounts of money and sought this life of fame, so they can’t complain too much. As for their marriages, who cares? You weren’t invited, neither was I, and it in no way affects my life. Yours either.
My top celebrity comeback wishes for 2008 – Part 1

Britney Spears. That’s a name that everyone knows. She has had a rollercoaster lifestyle that has left her with nothing more than money. Sure that sounds good, but money can’t buy her happiness. Now I’m not a fan of Britney, but I do wish that she would get her life back on track. Now Britney has gone through so much over the last few years, with all the drinking, partying, a divorce, the big fight with her mother, and most recently the custody case with ex husband Kevin Federline. Now with how much her life has spiraled out of control, I’m hoping that she can’t fall any further down that black hole of despair.
Now I’m not quite sure if her next album with go triple platinum or all of a sudden she will be the pop diva we all once loved, that’s not the comeback that I’m wishing for. Instead I want her comeback to be the one of stepping back into her realm of reality. I wish that she would just step back and take a good long look at her life and ask herself is this were she really wants to be. She is a twenty-six year old woman with two kids, an ex husband and millions of dollars. The path that she has chosen so far has just left the train wreck drunk, hungover, and alone. All I wish for the pop tart to do is just put down the pill bottle, apologize to her mother, and then to the court for her eratic behavior. Explain to everyone that she expeirenced a nervous breakdown and that she is HONESTLY sorry for the negative image she put upon herself and her family.
I believe that she definately should go to rehab, to help her stay away from the anti depressants, and perscription drug addiction. She also should quit drinking, some people just can’t handle their liquor, and I definately believe that Britney Spears is one of those people. She needs to get help. If she would just sober up and clean up her act maybe then she will realize how foolish she has been, and maybe she will see why she lost her kids. I just want her to be able to be the mother that I’m sure she is capable to be. If she did straighten out, I believe that she would be able to get her kids back, and then maybe be the mother to her sons that she hasn’t yet been.
I believe that Britney just fell into the trap that most Hollywood celebrities fall into, and that trap is, Once your name dies what can you do, to get your name back out. For her it was the negative attention. As long as her name was still the top story, she wouldn’t stop. All that I wish for is that the papparazzi
Do celebrities deserve some level of privacy? – Part 1

I believe everyone deserves some level of privacy. I wouldn’t like somebody following me around waiting to catch me doing something juicy or something embarrassing. I feel sorry for some of these celebrities. People follow them around everywhere. They cant even be out with their kids without it being a potential dangerous situation. At the end of the day celebrities are people too and they deserve to have a life without everybody knowing it. We pay for their talent and when we go to the movies, concerts, or even watch a show on television we are meeting a need of entertainment and that’s what celebrities are paid for. No body’s the owner the celebrities themselves and don’t really have the right to be in their business and then have the nerve to pass judgement. There is a time and a place for everything. When they are on the red carpet or some other event then of coarse they are putting themselves in a position to get their pictures taken maybe asked a few questions. But when your camping out in front of someones home or going threw their trash then that is a violation of privacy. All though the stories are interesting and people love to hear them its not right to put somebody on a pedestal that they are not going to be able to live up to anyway.
You hear so many stories of celebrities losing their cool because of being in the line of photographers. I have heard photographer’s yell out mean and hurtful thing to a celebrity because they don’t stop and pose for a picture. Some celebrities have fought back and act out violently and later on be sued because a photographer was asking rude questions or taking a bunch a pictures of them why they are on their personal time. I have seen people like Britney Spears, Paris Hilton, or Lindsey Lohan literally not be able to drive their car really because so many photographer’s are surrounded their car taking pictures. Even Tyra Banks did a segment on her show about Nicole Richie and what it was like to walk in her shoes and they took the cameras to the streets and it showed first hand what it was like for a celebrity to just go out in public it became scary for Tyra and I saw why. The worst example o this would be the death of Princess Diana. Pictures were taken of the car and was posted on every news stand with no regard for the fact that she had kids who may not have wanted to be reminded of that scene again and again. I mean was Princess Di to us to them she was just mom. I don’t remember when I was younger it being this bad the only time you heard something about a celebrity was when it was something major and I feel like that’s the way it should stay. We can their E! True Hollywood Story later.
Celebrity gossip: Has the media gone too far? – Part 18

When it comes to Princes Harry and William, I definitely think that the media has gone too far. William and Harry didn’t ask to be in the spot-light. They were born into it. They’re not like the Lindsay Lohan and Britney Spears of this world that wanted to be a celebrity. For two young men that didn’t ask for their celebrity standings, I think that Harry and William are doing quite well for themselves.
Yet now we see the media criticising Harry for a night out. Yes, Harry did look a little worse for wear when he exited the nightclub, and yes, he did seem to lunge for a camera-man. But this is excusable when we look at the facts: Harry’s mother was killed at the hands of the paparazzi. So, obviously, Harry is going to show some contempt when photographed. Secondly, Harry is about to go to war. If he wants to go and let his hair down before he goes off and fights for his country, then so be it. He deserves it.
Then William is scrutinised for touching a girl’s breast. Anyone who has seen the picture will note that William simply had his arm around the girl to take a picture. He was obliging the young girl. It’s not his fault that he has big hands.
The media made such a fuss of it. They declared that William’s girlfriend Kate Middleton was upset over his antics. Will they make up their minds? One minute they’re praising Kate, touting her as the next queen, the next they are declaring that her relationship to William is over.
The media has gone too far with Prince William and Harry. Every part of their life is scrutinised. They are not left to enjoy their own time. William will one day be king, let him at least have a bit of a life now. And Harry, the boy’s going to the front line, let him have his fun before he leaves.
Celebrity gossip: Paris Hilton & Britney Spears – Part 7

Paris Hilton was released from jail today after just 3 days!
I thought her 40 day sentence was too short as it was, I can not believe she has been let out.
If she wasn’t famous she would of got at least 6 months for her crime.
It is disgusting that the rules are changed for a celebrity.
I feel very upset and angry about this as it just is not fair.
Celebrities should get punished as we would, what is the difference?
They are people just like Me and You, if they can do the crime they should do the time, all of the time!
What will happen if she does it again?
Three days for drink driving and driving without a license! Disgraceful.
Drink driving is very dangerous and the punishment should be a little more than 3 days even if she is a celebrity!
She could of killed someone, and she may well do next time, really what is to stop her from doing it again? Prison? I somehow don’t think that will bother her do You?
Celebrity gossip: Has the media gone too far?

Celebrity gossip. It’s listed as one of my interests on my Facebook and MySpace profile. Gossip sites like Perez Hilton and TMZ are marked in my faves on the Web. Magazines like People and US Magazine are the only ones I read. I would say that I am obsessed. But I’m not alone.
Most days of the week I can tell you what stars like Britney Spears and Lindsay Lohan are doing. I usually know who’s dating who and who’s gone kaput. I know who’s off or on the wagon. The age old argument is that when someone puts themselves out there in movies or on television or record a record, they put themselves in the public eye to be scrutinized. They might not expect for the love lives to be scrutinized but it happens. It’s not always right but it does.
The question is has media gone too far? I would say yes and no. I agree with the argument that by being public figures, celebrities open themselves up to being public fodder. Being gossiped about goes along with being in the limelight and many celebrities feed off this kind of attention. In fact, many celebrities think that if they’re not being gossiped about, they’re being forgot.
The whole celebrity media frenzy became heightened and spiraled out of control recently when Paris Hilton was temporarily sent to jail for a DUI. More media coverage was paid to Paris Hilton than the war in Iraq or other news happening around the world. Even legitimate news sources like CNN jumped on board the Hilton wagon. Although it was a popular topic, as a former journalism student, I have a hard time making the jump to calling it news. Paris Hilton in jail was intriguing but certainly should not have been the most popular news item any day of the week.
At times, the media has gone too far. Britney Spears can’t get a coffee without being surrounded by paparazzi. Paris Hilton was petitioned out of her neighborhood because paparazzi were making it dangerous for neighbors to live there.
Just recently media has taken an evil turn. Celeb gossip sites like Perez Hilton wish for recovering stars like Britney Spears to get a DUI or Lindsay Lohan to fall off the wagon. Magazines like US Magazine, In Touch and OK magazine consistently report on the downfall of Brangelina’s marriage or other breakups that aren’t true. It’s as if the media WANTS celebrities to fail so that they have a great story.
I don’t think the media has gone too far in reporting on celebrities but I do think they have gone to far in making judgments on celebrities and wishing for them to fail. Public figures or not they are still human and when you see awful things written about you it still hurts. In the future, stick to the facts or at least the fun gossip. Don’t wish for anyone to have a drug addiction.
Celebrities: Why were still interested in celebrity news – Part 2

Every time you go to a supermarket or bookstore or newsstand,
you are overwhelmed with pictures of celebrities on magazine
covers. Anytime you turn on your TV or check out a movie,
celebrities are staring right back at you.
WHY do we care about them? WHY do we put them on such
a high pedestal? WHY are the paparazzi stalking them?
Come on, celebrities are people like everyone else. They bleed
red, right? They breathe in the same polluted air we all take in.
What makes them so damn special?
Well, it’s pretty obvious. Celebrities have TONS of money
and fame. Many of them can pretty much do what they
want because of who they are and the riches they possess.
Most celebrities are so above the average person in terms
of lifestyle, the rest of the population is left to crave what
celebrities already have.
Many individuals want lavish lifestyles, but since it’s not
their reality, they live vicariously through celebrities via reading
gossip magazines, watching music videos, sports, movies
and TV entertainment shows. Of course, you can’t forget
about keeping track of celebrities on the internet as
well.
There are many people in this world who are very dissatisfied
with their lives, so gawking at and being BIG fans of
celebrities can fill a void.
Ironically, though, many people enjoy it when a star
undergoes some sort of fall from grace or pain. They
feel since the celebrity suffered he/she can be on the same
“real” level as them. There are many examples of the media
being merciless with celebrities while they are going
through tough times (ie: Britney Spears and Mariah Carey)
The public, though, also likes to see a fallen star rise to the
top again. Martha Stewart is a perfect example. She
was once a jailbird, but when she got out of prison, her
entrepreneurial empire thrived even more. Once a celebrity
falls on hard times, he/she becomes an underdog because
people doubt whether that person can achieve success again.
However, when a fallen star does reach the pinnacle again,
many people embrace him/her with non-stop love and
publicity again.
You hear it all the time from famous people. Fame can
build you up, but it can also take you down pretty fast.
WHY should we even care in the first place?
Does celebrity information affect your life directly?
By knowing which club Paris Hilton visited recently, will
that teach your kids to be good people? Will celebrity
information make you grow as an individual?
The answer is NO.
Those celebrities have NO idea who you are.
They DON’T care about you! Why should
we care about them?
It’s fine to watch movies, music videos and TV.
It’s cool to read magazines featuring celebrities.
However, when the adoration gets to a point where
these famous people are considered better than
everybody else, that’s not right.
You know what? Danny DeVito, you can have
your fame because being myself is just fine
with me.
Assessing celebrities and their relationships

It seems that almost everyday the public hears about a new celebrity couple that has split. What is it about their lifestyles that makes it so difficult for them to stay in a committed relationship? Some of the break-ups that have occurred in the last year or so have been shocking, while others have been very surprising. It also seems like some celebrities are recovering very quickly from their supposedly “tramatic” break-ups. Perhaps we should examine some of these past break-ups.
One of the most recent celebrity break-ups belongs to Justin Timberlake and Cameron Diaz. The two have been dating since 2003 and many thought that they would eventually tie the knot. However, the two have officially split although it is unclear why they did so. Their split may have been prompted by their very busy schedules, but that can not be the only reason.
Another recent split occured between Kate Hudson and husband Chris Robinson. I do not believe that their divorce is final, but Kate was quick to move on to Owen Wilson, who she co-stared with in the movie “You, Me, & Dupree”. However, Kate and Owen have already split, possibly due to the fact that he was unwilling to commit. In any case, Kate is single, although rumor has it she is not loving it.
Another recent celebrity break-up was the end of K-Fed and Britney Spears. Britney filed for divorce and the two are currently dealing with the issue of custody of their two sons. K-Fed’s demands seem to deal more with what he can get out of the deal and not what is best for his sons. However, with how Brittney has currently been acting, do either one of them seem to be acting in the best interests of their sons?
When looking at the relationships of celebrites it is easy to see some problems. Stars seem to be too busy to want to put in the time and effort that a relationship requires. This is one area that celebrities should not be anyones role model in.

Spoiled rotten celebrities…
As a mother, I find it appaling what some of young Hollywood represent. We have these young women and men who are reaping all benefits of fame and fortune yet forget that there are little eyes that look up to them. Teenagers are susceptible beings as it is. Since their birth, we teach them to not smoke, drink, do drugs and to try to wait as late in life as possible to have sex. But, how can we as parents beat the game when we have the rich and famous doing whatever feels right activity of the moment? Futhermore, there are never any consequences!
Let’s take one of my favorite celebrity disasters: Britney Spears. She marries a no-gooder and for some reason I cannot understand why the whole world knew this except her. She made a disgrace of herself and her family when she and Mr. Federline portrayed their passion for sex on a tv show! She then bares him a child that she later rode with in a car, no car seat, and almost dropped him while she held her beverage and went shopping. What must her parents think? Doesn’t anyone feel the least bit of concern for the Federline kids? How many are there? Four? All under the age of 6? She drives me crazy!
What about Lindsay Lohan? Can’t forget Paris Hilton. These individuals need to be appreciative of the blessings bestowed on them and cherish them. Remember, if it weren’t for the public, they would not have careers. I wish i could sit downwith some of these young Hollywood party animals and have a nice heart to heart.
This madness needs to come with repercussions. Our children are influenced by all this whether it be music, movies or television. Talk about parental controls!

This is my opinion of what is wrong with the American publics’ demand of our news stations.
Britney Spears in her panties, Paris Hilton in her Pants.
We wanna see Britney Spears in her panties, and Paris Hilton in her pants,
and fantasies abound if Paparazzi provides the chance.
With a “nothing better to do day”, our boring life progresses at a crawl,
we ignore Iraq & Global Warming for some cleavage from y’all.
We put you on a golden pedestal and then we chop it down,
Laugh as you take your clothes off and parade through Tinseltown.
We wanna see Britney in her panties with Paris in her pants,
And we would pay good money if given such a chance.
The daylight is so tragic for these sad & lonely girls
But when the night rolls in they really rock our worlds.
So blonde and white and creamy, nearly everyone’s desire,
Iraq and Global Warming could never have such a fire!
Will the news stations ever provide anything that’s remotely real?
Not as long as we keep paying for the hope to cop a feel,
From our Britney and our Paris and thats my friends
The deal.
